Pacific Autism Center is conveniently located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and has assisted parents and students since 2004. We are Hawaii’s premier autism center specializing in programs for the autism spectrum. From increased monitoring and supervision, to extensive curriculum development, Pacific Autism Center provides children and their families the greatest opportunity for success.

Pacific Autism Center offers a wide array of services that are not exclusive to remaining on our campus. Though we have close to 5000 square feet of space with a full preschool, 2 lunch areas, sensory room, 2 classrooms, and 15 individual/group therapy rooms, the children receive many opportunities to venture into the community to generalize the skills they have mastered.

Since Pacific Autism Center is based in behavior modification also known as ABA or Applied Behavioral Analysis, the children are motivated to come to school and enjoy the success they make each and every day. Every child’s program is uniquely developed from the beginning, based on assessments and the specific needs of the child. This approach helps to lay an appropriate foundation from which to launch their very own pattern of success, and maximize and accelerate their progress.

Our center is based on the philosophy that children CAN make substantial progress. We believe in them and their potential. We know that not every child will reach recovery, but we do believe they have a greater potential to, and we strive for that outcome. We work to see how far we can take them down that road. Our founder, Laura Cook has told countless people, “If my son, could be maintreamed and reach his potential, then there is the potential for your child to also. Don’t settle for inadequate services, short-sighted professionals, or those who have never helped a child recover. Expect to work with professionals who have achieved success before, just as you would expect your doctors to have been successful in treating an infection or cancer.”

At Pacific Autism Center, our motto is, “Helping Children reach their full potential…one child at a time.” We take in only one child every few weeks and put a concentrated effort into addressing all their needs. Helping children reach their potential is where our focus is and we push hard to achieve that, even if it means pushing the parents a bit. Our founder has said on many occassions that she had to be pushed and prodded by her team at times, but they were a team who all believed in the final outcome for her son. We have the same focus and drive for each and every child we accept into our program.
