Do We Cure Children?

No. There is no cure for Autism; though there is much controversy in the media surrounding this subject.  We don’t promote to cure from autism, but we do maintain that children can make significant progress and accomplishments have been proven to maximize their potential. In some cases, children can become almost indistinguishable from their peers, be shown to have an intelligence within the normal range or higher, and can make and maintain friendships, and have jobs.

Does this mean they will not have difficulties later on as they enter into their teenage or adult life? Does this mean that they don’t look at social interaction and the world around them a bit differently than others that are not on the spectrum? We don’t have definitive answers to these questions, but hopefully as we learn more as an autism community, some of these questions will be answered.

What we do believe and promote is the opportunity that children can make significant progress in the areas of language, behaviors and social/play skills.
