Enrollment Process - Ages 3-18

The first step in determining if Pacific Autism Center is the right fit for you and your child is to schedule an “Intake” with one of the Supervisors.  Interested parents can call 808-523-8188 and schedule the intake with the front desk.

As a parent you want the most information you can get out of the intake. The intake helps determine not only if Pacific Autism Center offers a placement or program option for you but generally what your child should ideally receive to assist them to reach their potential.  So with this in mind, we will need several documents delivered to us prior to the intake so our supervisor can have an opportunity to review and be prepared for the intake. Here are the documents needed:

  1. Pacific Autism Center Registration Form
  2. Any assessments completed within the past 2 years or the most recent assessments
  3. Most current IEP
  4. Diagnosis
  5. Reports from Psychologists, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapist, and any other Doctors describing your child’s condition

The above information should be received no later than 1 week prior to the intake. If the information is not received in a timely manner, the intake may need to be postponed.

During the intake, our supervisor will discuss with the parent where their child is currently at in numerous developmental domains and directly work the child to assess his or her level. By the end of 1.5 to 2 hour intake, the parent will receive a recommendation from our supervisor if your child meets the criteria for entering our program, and what services we offer would best meet his educational and developmental needs.

If a parent is interested in taking the next step, they will schedule a consultation appointment with our Director, Laura Cook where placement options are discussed and a plan is developed.
