Elementary Learning Center
The main objective of the Elementary Learning Center is to prepare students with ASD to participate in a regular education setting. The ages are 6 years to 18 years old. Each individual student’s needs and goals will be used to develop an individual program that increases language, academics, social skills and independence to prepare them to participate in a typical classroom, where possible. There is a language arts room, math room, sensory room for OT time and sensory diets as well as room for speech therapy. A model of a regular classroom, which is run by our SPED teacher, is available to practice classroom readiness and group participation, as well as work on academics as the child exhibits readiness to participate in these activities.
